5minute After School Snack – Oaty Balls

5minute After School Snack – Oaty Balls

This 5minute after school snack got so much love on Instagram, that I felt they needed  their own recipe post. The after school/nursery hunger is real. I often arrive at the gates armed with these protein packed Oaty Balls. They’re the perfect grab and go snack.

This recipe makes 12 balls. Can be stored for up to 4 days in the fridge.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 banana
1.5 cups of rolled oats
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/8 cup honey (not for under 1s, swap for maple syrup)
1/4 cup cacao powder

METHOD:

Mix all the ingredients together to form a sticky mixture. If not sticky enough, add more peanut butter/honey. If too sticky add more oats.

Roll mixture into 12 balls and pop in the fridge until needed. I like to leave them for a couple of hours to set, but they can be eaten immediately.

Eat. Enjoy.
